操作程序
在培训开始之前,培训师先讲一个故事给全体学员听。这是一个相传了几个世纪的关于生活的禅宗故事。
难因是日本一位有名的禅师,有一天,有一位游方弟子来向他请教禅的真谛。难因与他聊了一会儿后请他喝荼。他向那弟子的茶杯里不断地倒水,水杯满了,他还是在倒,水都溢了出来。弟子感到非常惊讶,问难因:师傅,水已经满了,倒不进去了。
难因说:你就象这个杯子,早已装满了你自己的意见、判断、思索。如果你不把你的杯子倒空,我又如何能告诉你禅的道理呢?
其它可选操作程序
1.先不要说这个故事,直到有一位学员表现出对课程全都知道或曾听说过,然后用这个故事作比喻,以告诉全体学员。(这需要较高的技巧,不然可能有惹怒至少一位学员的风险。)
2.不是平铺直叙地讲述这个故事,而是准备一些上面列出的小道具并安排一位学员(事先安排好的)或是一位辅助讲师,共同表演这个故事。如果表演适当的话,真实的演示能给学员留下深刻的印象。

Objectives
Let the students open their minds and understand the mentality they should hold when learning new things.
Operating procedure
Before the training begins, the trainer will tell a story to all the students. This is a Zen story about life that has been passed down for centuries.
The difficulty is due to a famous Zen master in Japan. One day, a disciple from the hospital came to ask him for the true meaning of Zen. It was difficult to talk to him for a while and then ask him to drink. He poured water into the tea cup of the disciple, the cup was full, he was still pouring, and the water overflowed. The disciple was very surprised and asked the difficulty: "Master, the water is full, can't go in."
Difficult to say: "You are like this cup, already filled with your own opinions, judgments, and thoughts. If you don't empty your cup, how can I tell you the truth of Zen?"
Other optional operating procedures
1. Don't tell this story until one of the trainees shows that they have all known or heard about the course, and then use this story as a metaphor to tell all the students. (This requires a higher skill, otherwise there may be a risk of angering at least one student.)
2. Instead of telling the story in a straightforward way, prepare some of the props listed above and arrange for a student (pre-arranged) or an assistant lecturer to perform the story together. If the show is appropriate, the real demo can impress the students.
