It is reported that Quan Dou-hwan was sentenced to 8 months in the first instance in November 2020 on suspicion of defamation of the deceased, with a two-year probation. This is the first time he appears in court after 252 days. He has refused to appear in court on the grounds of suffering from Alzheimer's many times.
Chun Doo is 90 years old and has been re-elected as the 11th and 12th President of South Korea. In 1996, Quan Dou-hwan was prosecuted on suspicion of military rebellion. He was sentenced to death in the first instance and was later commuted to life imprisonment. In December 1997, Chun Doo-hwan received an amnesty from President-elect Kim Dae-jung and was released in early 1998. In July 2013, Quan Dou-hwan was ransacked and repaid the stolen money.

据悉,全斗焕因涉嫌诽谤死者,2020年11月一审获刑8个月,缓刑2年。这是他时隔252天再次出庭,此前多次以患有老年痴呆为由,拒不出庭。
全斗焕现年90岁,曾连任韩国第11届和12届总统。1996年,全斗焕曾因涉嫌军事叛乱罪等遭起诉,一审时被判处死刑,后来减刑为无期徒刑。1997年12月,全斗焕得到候任总统金大中的特赦,并于1998年初获释。2013年7月,全斗焕又被抄家偿还赃款。
